For us, safeguarding the natural environment is not just a proclamation but a practical matter and priority in all aspects of our company operations.
The aim of our activities is to develop and disseminate proper environmental management practices within the company and in society and to declare respect in practical terms for the community in which we operate.
In addition to implementing national and European legislation on environmental issues, Tosoh Hellas has also committed itself to implementing a strict environmental policy which requires:
- Rational management of natural resources;
- Minimising energy consumption;
- Strict monitoring of production processes;
- Re-use of recycled materials; and
- Use of manufacturing by-products in other production activities.
Since its establishment, the company has invested in a fully-functional pollution-control system which is regularly upgraded.
From 2005 onwards Tosoh Hellas has been implementing the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
